We believe that the key
to providing superior hospice care is ongoing learning.
Casa de la Luz Hospice has a long history of learning and
teaching others how
to take better care of dying patients and
those who love them. We publish educational resource materials;
Safe Passages and the Care Companion; and offer hospice courses
for physicians, nurses, counselors, volunteers and other
caregivers.
In November, Casa de la Luz Foundation, in partnership with Casa
de la Luz Hospice, presents an End-of-Life Conference in
recognition of National Hospice Month. In 2005, Healthcare Professionals attended "Tending the Spirit in
End-of-Life Care" featuring Paul Rousseau, MD at the Westin La Paloma Resort. See
Upcoming Events for details on this year's conference.
